QUITO, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Ecuadoran football club Sport Emelec Wednesday presented Argentine footballer Mauro Fernandez as its new forward.

Emelec, Ecuador's reigning national champion and current leader of the national championship season, held a press conference in Quito to unveil its newest member, who will be playing in the regional America Cup tournament.

Emelec director Jose Lasso wished Fernandez luck, warned him of the team's demanding fan base, and said the club was looking to win the regional cup.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- U.S. researchers who tested Google Glass said Tuesday the head-mounted display systems may create a partial peripheral vision obstruction, causing blind spots that may affect safety while doing routine tasks such as driving.

Interest in the wearable head-mounted display systems for general consumers has been growing, with multiple models in production. However, their effect on vision is largely unknown.

Peripheral visual field, a main component of vision Cheap Calvin De Haan Jersey , is essential for daily activities such as driving, pedestrian safety, and sports.

In the new study, Tsontcho Ianchulev of the University of California, San Francisco, and colleagues compared performance on visual field tests with Google Glass vs. regular eyewear to quantify their effect on visual function.
